NaiManzil – An Outlook
NaiManzil Scheme is designed to address the educational and livelihood needs of minorities communities lagging behind in terms of education attainments. . It aims to provide educational intervention by giving the bridge courses to the trainees. It seeks to provide trade basis skill training in four courses at the same time of formal education, in field of (i) Manufacturing (ii) Engineering (iii) Services (iv)Soft skills. It intends to cover people in between 17 to 35 age group from all minority communities as well as Madrasas students. This scheme will provide new avenues for minorities for continuing higher education and also open up employment opportunities in the organized sector.
NaiManzil aims to engage constructively with poor Minority youth and help them obtain sustainable and gainful employment opportunities that can facilitate them to be integrated with mainstream economic activities.
Eligibility Criteria for trainees…
- The trainee should be between 17-35 years of age. The trainees should belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) population both from urban and rural areas.
- For Class 8th Bridge Program: Candidate should possess Class V pass or failed school leaving certificate or equivalent of education or provide self-certificate stating his/her capability to pursue this course
- For Class 10th Bridge Program: Candidate should possess Class VIII pass school leaving certificate or equivalent of education or provide self-certificate stating his/her capability to pursue this course.
Note – In case reserved categories as prescribed under this scheme remain vacant, these vacant seats may be treated as unreserved.
Scheme Component – The scheme will provide non-residential integrated education and skill training programme for 9 to 12 months of which a minimum 3 months should be devoted to skill training.
Basic Bridge Programme – a beneficiary will undergo the Open Basic Education (OBE) level course which is equivalent to Class VIII, or the Secondary Level Examination Program of NIOS / State Board which is equivalent to Class X. The assessment and certification will be as per NIOS / State Board norms.
Skill Training and Placement – The curriculum and other inputs will be used for training as per norms of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The organization will work towards ensuring placement of successful candidates in regular employment in the sector in which he/she was trained.
Sum Drishti Education Society and NaiManzil
SDES will implement this NaiManzil scheme in 04 states namely Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The organization will provide academic session and skill training in above mentioned states. The organization has a vision to provide long term sustainable solution to eligible youth with focus on minorities, SCs / STs and girls’.
